ANNUAL RIVER WALK 2023

JULY 16th 2pm

This summerʼs river walk will be on July 16th Sunday starting at 2 pm all are welcome. It is a circular walk and will run from Hawk Mill Farm, Little Wilbraham along the public foot path. There will be parking available at the Farm and those that finish the walk are invited to join us there for refreshments If you would like to join us an email to bex@drcr.info to confirm rough numbers would be helpful. The walk is about 5 kms long, it is fairly flat but the ground is uneven (not suitable for baby buggies) and the path narrow with fairly dense vegetation on either side - including some nettles at this time of the year. There are often birds to be spotted so binoculars can be handy. It can be hot and there is not much shade and as you would expect the path runs alongside water. There may also be cattle in one of the fields we cross so dogs are welcome but on leads please. The route is not easily accessible by car along most of its route so if you feel itʼs too far be aware itʼs quite difficult to be rescued! We would recommend stout shoes and trousers, hats and fluids and if you are unable to do the route you are welcome to bring a deck chair and wait for our return and a cup of tea. Hoping to see you for what is a most enjoyable few hours.
