We will be holding our fourth seasonal walk on Thursday 8 January 2026 at 10.30am. This winter walk completes our set of four seasonal walks, allowing us to observe the river and its surroundings across the full year.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE – PLEASE READ
This is a winter walk and paths are very likely to be muddy, wet, and slippery in places. Some sections may be uneven, waterlogged, or churned up by livestock. Sturdy walking boots with good grip are essential. Please take extra care on slippery sections and dress appropriately for cold, wet, and windy conditions. Walkers take part at their own risk.
Distance & Terrain
The walk is just over four miles long, takes approximately two hours, and is flat, following public footpaths. Paths are not prepared beyond checking for obvious hazards.
What to Bring
Robust walking boots, warm waterproof clothing, long trousers, binoculars, and a camera.
