Sunday May 10th 2026 starting at 2pm.
This year’s WRPS annual river walk will be held on Sunday 10th May 2026 at 2 pm. We will be walking some of the Fulbourn branch of the river and through Fulbourn Nature Reserve.
The walk will start at the Fulbourn Centre CB21 5BS where there is ample car parking. I have attached two maps one a copy of the nature reserve and one of the local area. The Fulbourn centre parking is close to the entrance to Stoneybridge Lane marked on the map below. We will be walking to point 8 on the Nature Reserve map and then returning through Ox Meadow and along the bridleway to Fulbourn Manor which is a short walk north of the car park.
Tea will be provided for all walkers at Fulbourn Manor by very kind invitation of Mr and Mrs Richard Townley.
The walk is approximately three miles long and will take about two hours. It is difficult to be completely accurate as we will be stopping at points for discussion. We estimate we will arrive for tea around 4.45pm
The ground will be uneven in places and we recommend stout shoes and a stick for balance, binoculars, water and sunscreen. As we will be walking through the nature reserve where there are nesting birds and amongst sheep we request No Dogs please.
It would be very helpful to have numbers attending so please could you RSVP to me Rebecca Lomas at bex@drcr.info
We very much look forward to seeing you meeting you and catching up over what will be a delightful and delicious tea.
Any updates will be available on this section of the website
